Learning to manage my time with so much freedom taught me a lot and helped me grow into the person I am today. Kansas State University provides so many resources for students who are struggling, they provide opportunities to build your resume, tutoring, and more. The student life at KSU is extremely supportive and going to campus events and games is always fun. This college town in Manhattan, Kansas, the Little Apple, is extremely supportive and lively. 2. #245 Best Colleges for Anthropology and Sociology in AmericaThe University of KansasLawrence, KS·4 Year·Rating 3.85 out of 5 3,473 reviewsGraduate Student: What I liked about the University of Kansas is that I was challenged to think outside of the box while completing my minor in economics at this college. The professors drove me to think critically about chemical engineering and how it effects our everyday lives. This led to the excitement and enthusiasm about pursuing this degree. Also, I liked that I learned how to properly communicate and make connections with my professors, time management skills, and many other transferable skills that I will use to be successful in graduate school. What I would like to see change is the diversity on campus. Being a chemical engineer, I was one of two African-Americans in my graduating class of seventy people. By encouraging more African-American students to pursue degrees in STEM I think this problem could be solved. One more thing I would liked to see changed is a level of change in the chemical engineering department that does not just solely focus on process engineering.... The teachers are very understanding of missing class for sport since majority of the school are athletes. The campus is relatively small so everything is within walking distance and does not take to much time and effort to get to the next class or the dining hall. I would like to see another dorm or not accepting so many students because there is a surplus of students to dorm rooms so many students have had to face the consequences by having to squeeze with a roommate in a dorm room made for one person.... Rather you play sports or not, you’re more than likely to know everyone around. The sports there are very diverse and there are many different choices. I love this about Baker, because not many other schools offer these things.I would love to see the diversity of the food selections to change. Sometimes the food they provide can be a little repetitive, and that can be annoying as an on campus student. We have a very nice campus to be a small school, but the dorms can be better! This college has some of the most uplifting and fulfilled people compared to the other campuses that I have visited. While visiting schools in high school, this school stuck out because it appeared that the people wanted to be there. All the other schools that visited such as Michigan Tech, or Platteville, did not have the same energy of people as this school did. I did not choose to go to Michigan Tech, excluding the much better resources they had, but rather that the people there just seemed that they were there just because they were there. The connection to the school that Benedictine has compared to other schools seem to be much higher and people actually seemed happy to be there which was what influenced my decision to go to this school.... How the atmosphere is like a family and how everyone is just the best of friends! I knew it was a special place but I wasn’t sure at first if I would be attending there! But after many times on campus for events, multiple campus visits and girl ministry events I fell in love with the campus but more importantly the people! From day one I felt like I was home with my people! They were so welcoming and inviting and it didn’t stop there! As time when on during my time at MNU I continued to grow healthy, strong and faith centered relationships with so many of my peers and faculty! I like that we are such a tight knight community who loves coming together to serve the Lord in all aspects! I would love to see our numbers increase as they are down slightly, to get even more students to join out student body family!
