Home » MBA Application Deadlines » Berkeley / Haas MBA Application Deadlines 2024-2025
The Haas MBA deadlines for the 2024-2025 admissions season are presented in the table below.
The Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley operates its full-time MBA admissions process over three rounds of deadlines. Candidates should note that applications must be submitted by 11:59 pm Pacific Time on the date of each deadline.
Round | Application Deadline | Decision Notification |
---|---|---|
Round 1 | September 12, 2024 | December 12, 2024 |
Round 2 | January 9, 2025 | March 27, 2025 |
Round 3 | April 3, 2025 | May 8, 2025 |
Applicants who wish to obtain a waiver for the $200 application fee must submit their request before the deadline for the round in question.
What Materials Must Be Submitted by the Deadline?
A completed application comprises the online application form, undergraduate and graduate program transcripts, a current resume (PDF preferred), a GMAT or GRE score report, essay responses, two professional letters of recommendation, and an application fee. Applicants whose undergraduate degree was taught primarily in a language other than English must also submit official evidence of English language proficiency.
An interview interview is also required for admission to the Haas MBA program.
When Does Haas Issue MBA Interview Invitations?
The Haas admissions committee conducts interviews by invitation only. The interviews are resume-based. Interviews may be completed via a pre-recording or with a current student or alum.
With respect to timing, the admissions committee does not publish information about the timing of interview invitations associated with each round of MBA deadlines. We can, however, gather some insight from the dates when applicants report receiving interview invitations using ourMBA LiveWire social tool. Looking at Haas submissions from the last admissions seasons, the earliest reports of Round 1 interview invitations fall in the first week of October, and the latest in early December. Keep in mind, however, that this year’s admissions deadline moved up roughly a week over last year. Meanwhile, the first Round 2 interview invitation reports come through LiveWire in the second week of January, and continue through the second week of March.

Applying: Carnegie Mellon / Tepper, Columbia, Dartmouth / Tuck, UPenn / Wharton, UVA / Darden, Yale SOM
Intake Year: 2025
Pre-MBA Career: Mining Engineering
Post-MBA Target Industry: Consulting
GMAT: 710
GPA: 3.5
Years of Work Experience: 4
Location: Arizona
Notes: Applying 2024 for 2025 intake. I think my stats are pretty average across the board, I think the real differentiator is going to be work experience. Mining feels like a typically underrepresented industry in MBA programs, and I am hoping that helps.
Long term goal is to move into a corporate development role within a mining company, but to get there do a couple years in management consulting. Work has one promotion and a clear increase in responsibility and impact as I have progressed. Undergrad university is a pretty average state school (T50 range) but I had a double major in engineering and finance. EC I work as a volunteer ski patroller in the winter (Tuck is pretty high on my list for having a ski patrol club / access to the mountains)

Applying: Harvard Business School, Northwestern / Kellogg, NYU Stern, U. Chicago Booth
Pre-MBA Career: Analyst at a global IT services firm
Post-MBA Target Industry: Technology Companies: Apple, Facebook, Google
GMAT: 730
GPA: 3.0
Years of Work Experience: 4
Notes: In addition to my undergrad, I also have a Master's degree in Information Technology, where I earned a 3.5 GPA. I didn't really prepare for my GMAT the first time I took it and am confident I can get an additional 20-30 points with proper preparation. My short-term goal is to work in product management at one of the major Big Tech firms, and my long-term goal is to progress into executive-level technology leadership roles. Particularly interested in e-commerce. I don't think my extracurricular life is particularly interesting, but I'm heavily involved in volunteering within my local Sikh religious community, and I'm also into boxing recreationally. For financial reasons, I'm primarily interested in the part-time programs at Kellogg, Booth, and Stern, but I'm open to full-time programs depending on scholarship/aid.
