In addition to tuition, Columbus Promise covers student fees, provides a $500 stipend each semester, and offers wraparound academic and career support. Students can apply regardless of GPA, undocumented status, enrollment status, or preferred degree.

Cranbrook Elementary School has implemented an inclusive education model that prioritizes equity and support for all students. This approach includes a structured instructional schedule that enables students in specialized education programs to be authentically included in general education classrooms.

Keynote speaker Misty Copeland, the first African American female principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre, gracefully inspired teachers before they leaped into their Summer Experience Curriculum. The event was held at The Point at Otterbein in partnership with CCS and sponsored by Junior Achievement.

The 2024 Columbus Association for the Performing Arts CAPA Marquee Awards was an exceptional evening for Columbus City Schools. Held at the Ohio Theatre, the award ceremony acknowledged and celebrated excellence in theater.

Recently, CCS teachers took part in STEAMM Rising, a weeklong summer initiative focused on innovative teacher professional development in science, engineering, arts, mathematics, and medicine. It is a collaboration between CCS, Ohio State, the City of Columbus, and Columbus State Community College.
