Martini Batch co*cktail Recipe | Paris Dining Club — Paris Dining Club (2024)

it’s the holidays.

For some people that means hanging out with friends and family and enjoying the time spent together. For others, it means skirting around certain topics and trying to avoid talking to that family member. But in both scenarios, a co*cktail can only improve the event. And what better co*cktail than a martini?

The problem? Who wants to be the bartender all night? You’re stuck making drinks for everyone! The solution? Make a large batch and put it in the freezer so it stays ice cold.

When you make a martini, you usually do it for a single serving. It’s shaken with ice and diluted (with water). To make a large batch of martinis, you therefore need to add water to the gin and vermouth — as long as you’re not going to shake it to order (which voids the point of batching co*cktails). Then all you need to do is grab it from the freezer, pour into a glass, and garnish it with olives. I’m not a co*cktail wiz. So if I can do this, so can you!

P.S. Our member gift for the season is a set of diving ladies co*cktail picks from Shop SENTi. And egad! they’re so cute. Add your member gift to your order now.

Batch Martini

serves 8

shopping list —

  • gin or vodka

  • dry vermouth

  • water

  • garnish, olives or lemon twist

equipment —

  • an empty glass bottle with a screw cap, ideally from the same spirit that you’re using for your martini

  • funnel

  • jigger or measuring cup

steps —

  1. Add up all the measurements in your drink + the water. You can adjust the ratio depending on your martini preference.

    2 oz gin or vodka

    .5 oz dry vermouth

    .5 oz of water

This gets you a total of 3 oz.

  2. Now you can scale based off your bottle size. Most liquor bottles are 750 ml or 24 oz. For this co*cktail, you’ll be able to get eight drinks from one bottle.

    2 x 8 = 16 oz gin or vodka

    .5 x 8 = 4 oz dry vermouth

    .5 x 8 = 4 oz water

  3. Combine the ingredients and pour into the empty bottle. Place in the freezer and allow at least 4-6 hours for it to get very cold.

  4. When you’re ready to pour a drink, give it a little swirl to ensure it’s evenly mixed, and pour into a glass. Serve with olives on a co*cktail pick or with a lemon twist.

And remember, martinis are like boobs. One isn’t enough and three is too many. Please drink responsibly.
