hello thanks for that but i just got great news my dad is willing to take him. he loves dogs and that way we can be close eventhough my dad lives in another city.
I asked the owner if I can meet the dog tomorrow (its an hour drive for me) She told me she is only available today till 2:30pm and she will be away till Sunday. She said there are a couple of others called about the girl and are going to meet the dog. So I should really come meet the girl today before 2:30pm.
I don't think I could do that being still at work and all that.
There are more pictures of this beautiful girl here:

I hope this dog has gone to a good home. She was very eager to get rid of the dog. She told me she was going out of town till Sunday in a few hours and whoever came first would get the dog...no concerns of who would be a better home for the dog, just first come first serve. She said she really wanted the dog to go that day. I noticed she had all upper case saying "NOT SPAYED" in the ads like it was a sales factor
I also think the dog lives outdoor because she said she had a friend brought over a puppy once and she let the dog in to play with the puppy and the dog was very friendly and gentle with the puppy (that means the dog lives outside to me!)

I wondered if she was stolen, so I checked around and there were no reports.
You know, I wonder the same thing. If this is the same person then they should have the authorities called on them, this is just cruel.
I wonder if she still has that poor dog.
Lola's mom, they told me they were near 91/15 in Riverside. Was there where you went to pick up Lola?
Chances are, this dog might be Lola's birth mom...being that she is 1 year and 10 months old...

I don't see any ads for her anymore, so I guess she has found a new home.

God, I hope not. Lola was 13 months old. Disgusting. Now I am sick that I didn’t call. If she WAS Lola's Mama, I SHOULD have saved her. My heart just couldn’t take any more right away. It hadn’t even occurred to me. Oh God, what have I done..

Gina, don't beat yourself up! It's not your fault that there are irresponsible people in this world. All we can hope is that the dog did get a great home with loving people. Who knows? maybe that person still has her?
I was just making a wild guess she could be Lola's mama, we don't even know for sure that is the same person you got Lola from. Please don't beat yourself up over that. I am a firm believer that we dog lovers get our turns to be blessed to cross path with the dog we are designated to share love. You and Lola were blessed to have each other for the time you and her had, even though short. This girl is not meant to cross your path. You can't blame yourself for not able to help her.
Perhaps I will give that woman another call to find out more....

I have also been thinking on this quite a bit. If we BUY the dog from her, we are creating a market and rewarding her behavior. It is no different than going into a pet store and supporting puppy mills. If she wants to surrender the dog to rescue, that is another matter. This is all so heartbreaking.
I do agree with you, Gina. I guess the only concern I have is for the girls health. If she was bred twice before the age of two and she lost a litter of puppies, they are not caring for her.
Also, if they are marketing that she is not spayed (which it seems like they are) then they might be looking to sell her to someone who would buy her based on that she could be used to breed more puppies.
It's a hard decision, you're right. I just hope she goes to the right person.

The problem here is that we are not dealing with an honest person. On one hand she says year and a half, on the other she says year and 10 months. Chances are she would not admit to breeding a dog in her first heat.
You're right. That poor girl, I just hope she gets away from them soon.

AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I told her that I would be willing to take the dog to rescue. She says she has someone coming to look at her. Apparently, they bought this dog after we bought Lola from them because her kids 'were crying' and missed Lola so much. Uh, yeah, these are the same kids who hardly even glanced at the dog as we took her. She is obviously a liar. I just can’t figure out what is really going on here.

We don't want to feed the evil but we can't ignore a dog is in need of rescue...what to do!!!???

Once we take this dog off her hand, I am sure she will get another one and if that other one doesn't work out, she will sell it and buy another one. I am already seeing a pattern here

I honestly don't know. I am not giving her a DIME. Maybe if she has to give it to rescue, she will stop.

But do you think she WOULD give it to rescue? I would keep an eye on any city shelters in that area. If she can't sell her, she may drop her off there... or even just drop her off on the side of the road.
There's a fine line sometimes between saving a dog and enabling a seller to buy new "stock" so they can continue with the nonsense, abuse, or whatever it is they've been doing. I've been on the wrong side of that line before and can never in good conscience do it again. Personally, I see no problem with paying $100 for a dog, especially an unaltered bitch, so it can get into rescue. Get a breeding bitch out of the system and it's how many future puppies rescues may NOT need to deal with? But paying much more, I risk the possibility of having the whole thing repeat itself. I can't in good conscience save one dog only to put another in it's place. There are times we have to simply turn away.
