It's hard to have a discussion about the ethos of open-world video game designing without mentioning the absolute brilliance of The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. The game's release in 2017 was widely anticipated for a bevy of reasons, with one of the main questions surrounding this title being how they would escape the trappings of the usual open-world design that had become commonplace in AAA gaming at that point.

Nintendolooked at everything open-world gaming had done over time, and perfected the formula with a twist of their own, creating perhaps the most natural open world in gaming history. The quest to release the four Divine Beasts and take out Ganon once and for all is incredibly fun to play in every sense of the word.

10 Carry Some Heat And Cold-Resistant Stuff On You

So, the first you need to take to prepare for these extreme weather temperatures would be to wear armor and carry food that can counter these elements and prevent any unnecessary health loss.
9 Head West From The Great Plateau And Stop By The Jee Noh Shrine
Assuming that you're starting from the Great Plateau, head west towards the objective marker. You'll know you're heading on the right path when the area becomes less green and more... dirty, for lack of a better word.

On your way, you'll happen upon the Jee Noh Shrine— a place we strongly recommend that you complete so that you at least have a place to warp back to if things become a bit too hectic on your journey... or you just feel like wandering from the beaten path.
8 Journey Through The Valley Until You Reach The Wooden Platforms
As you head towards the objective marker, you'll soon notice that you're entering a valley of sorts. You'll see a tower to your left, but the wall will probably be too high for you to climb.
Go through this area until you find a place with a bunch of wooden platforms. This is your ticket to scaling the wall.
7 Deal With The Stone Talus And Moblin Strongholds On Your Way
Climbing your way up shouldn't be that big of an issue, with a few Bokoblin mobs perhaps being the only threat— and a minor one at that. The real challenge begins once you finally scale this platform and reach the plateau.
You'll be able to see the tower— known as the Wasteland Tower— on the horizon... but stay on your guard. There's a chance you might trigger a Stone Talus miniboss on your way, coupled with a number of Moblin strongholds that can make short work of you if you don't remain vigilant.
6 Climb Up The Wasteland Tower
Once you reach the Wasteland Tower, the next thing to do would be to find a way past the hazardous liquid around the base and climbing the structure.
Thankfully, Link's Stasis should be more than capable enough of paving the way towards the tower. Activate the pedestal on the top to get a lay of the land and figure out your next destination.
5 Glide Over To The Gerudo Canyon Stable And Buy Some Useful Stuff
From the top of the Wasteland Tower, you should have a clear view of the Gerudo Canyon Stable. In fact, it's close enough to reach by just gliding, so do just that. After all, it is quite relaxing.

Once you reach the stable, you can attempt the shrine close by and take a horse if you wish. However, don't forget to interact with an NPC called Maypin, who is selling both Warm and Cold Darners. Cooking these two up will form an elixir that can resist either cold or hot temperatures respectively, making your journey in the desert easier to bear.
4 Head To Gerudo Town... Only To Be Stopped Before You Approach
At this point,you can make a beeline from the stable to Gerudo Town. You can take a horse— or a sand seal, if you're feeling adventurous— and head towards the town... only to find out that your journey is far from over.
The guards at the gate of Gerudo Town will stop you, commenting on the fact that voe (a word in the Gerudo language that means man) are not allowed in the town.
Thankfully, you don't have to give up here. Head north from the shrine right next to Gerudo Town— which you should activate to make traveling easier— to meet a man named Benja, who talks about how a man was successfully able to enter Gerudo Town.
3 Go To Kara Kara Bazaar
Benji says that this man can be found between Gerudo Town and Kara Kara Bazaar, but the truth is that he's present in the bazaar itself. While you're at it, buy some hydromelons from the bazaar if you wish to get some heat-resistant food.
Enter the large building at the center of the bazaar— it's hard to miss— and you'll figure out that a bunch of people have seen a "mysterious man" sitting on the roof during the daytime.
2 Climb The Roof Of The Large Building In The Bazaar During The Daytime
The information you get in the bazaar should make it crystal-clear that the person you're searching for is at the top of this large building's roof. Make sure it's daytime and climb the structure.
You'll find the mysterious man there, who'll offer the Gerudo disguise to you for 600 rupees. If you're short on cash, you can always sell some items to Beedle, who's right next to this building.
1 Wear Your Disguise And Enter Gerudo Town!
After acquiring the disguise, it's as simple as wearing these garments and entering Gerudo Town without any issues!
Just make sure that you don't change your clothes while roaming around the town. Doing so will have you chucked out from the town in a rather unceremonious fashion.
