Baking brownies is an art, and Cochin Bakery and Brownnies Bakery of Kerala know this art really well. Wondering why? Well, because they recently made the
world’s longest-covered brownie
, measuring 223.16 meters (732 feet 1 inch) in a football stadium in Kerala, India, and made it to
Guinness World Records
(GWR).
As per the official website of GWR, both bakeries have a rich and humble history, having been founded all the way back in the 1880s.
The website has also acknowledged them as ‘brownie experts’.
If we go by the website report, this was their second attempt to claim the title. Earlier, in September 2022, they tried baking lengthy cakes.
On March 26, 2023, Kerala’s football stadium was transformed to manage the temperature and accommodate the preparation of the brownie, which took nearly 10 days, and the brownie-making process took an entire day.
As per the website, the brownie was made using pure and natural ingredients while avoiding artificial additives. The flavour featured a classic chocolate brownie topped with melted chocolate and cashews. For the uninitiated, it is not a single-piece brownie, but a succession of multiple brownies interconnected with icing.
After setting the world record, the brownie was generously distributed to the public.
